Recent Portraits - Part 4

Always one of the brightest spots on my fall calendar, L's mom brings her in every year for an updated portrait, and every year she's like magic -- such a strong spirit, her face shows an incredible range of expressions. It's a very difficult edit, because every photo is a keeper!

This portrait and the three which follow are currently being framed for all new studio display portraits. The prints are all in the 30" plus range on the long side. Gorgeous stuff!

Recent Portraits - Part 3

The smiles, the sparkle in the eyes, the little scabbies on sister's knees... I love this portrait. It's just DeLovely.

Recent Portraits - Part 2

Have I posted this one already? If so, then I'll just paraphrase Mark Twain: it's a good photograph, which bears repeating.

The New MonoBlog

MonoBlog has a new home here at blogspot. Freshly updated with Music from the Blue Light, recent rotations, playlists and more.

Check it out here.

Stay tuned as well, as I've got a pile of new music rotating, plus a billion ideas for new posts.

Busy!

Light blogging lately! I've been crazy busy at the studio, phone ringing off the hook. Our fall fundraiser for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is in full swing, and the sessions are booking up fast. I've also spent four days on a commercial project, overseen the installation of my new Canon iPF8000 fine art pigment printer, photographed three schools for Butterbean and made a bunch of studio portraits as well.

This week I started to print a whole gallery of recent portraits for new studio displays. The Canon printer allows me to print up to 44" wide, so I've used that capability to make some blockbuster images, including the portraits and many of my latest fine art images. So stay tuned! If you haven't been into the studio lately, give me a ring and drop by. I'm sure you'll be impressed.

I'll try to post some recent portraits this weekend.

Flashes of Hope

Photographed for Flashes of Hope again today, and, as always the experience was both beautiful and humbling.

I've posted a gallery of todays images here. I hope you will enjoy them.

In addition, I finally got a chance to see the installation of my Flashes of Hope portraits in the new Aflac Cancer Center. Each portrait was printed on canvas, gallery mounted with an inspiring quote from the subject below. The nurses and doctors were very complimentary!
